Seen & Held LLC. is a boutique production company led by husband and wife team Sterling and Shayla Milan. Founded in 2021 by Shayla Milan, a seasoned Production Designer/Art Director, Sterling joined the company in fall of 2023 bringing with him over 20 years experience as a Director, Showrunner, Writer, and Executive Producer. Together, with a community of creative professionals we birth each project through expansion, dedication and divine intention.

Most recently, STERLING MILAN presided as Head of Content, for Westbrook Media, the company owned and operated by Will & Jada Pinkett-Smith. Highlights include the Executive roles held across HBO Max's, FRESH PRINCE REUNION, National Geographic's WELCOME TO EARTH w/Will Smith, OFF THE DEEP END for Discovery's shark week, and an incredibly popular short form series with Ryan Reynolds, entitled RYAN DOESN'T KNOW for SNAP.

In 2022 alone, Sterling Milan moved the goalpost of what VR experiences can be, winning 4 TELLY AWARDS and a CLEO AWARD as he Executive Produced the wildly popular, POST MALONE's 12K TOOTHACHE: A VR EXPERIENCE for META's, Metaverse. Additionally, Sterling helmed and Directed Shaquille O'neal's, SHAQ'TACULAR NYE SPECTACUALR, also in the Metaverse.

Sterling approaches making content with a positive attitude, and a crystal clear vision. Among these highlights, Sterling amasses a very strong 20 year history of production work that stretches across a focus on factual documentary filmmaking, with an understanding of narrative works. Sterling capitalized early on with a penchant for Digital content, while still massing countless hours of traditional TV & Film content as Showrunner, Director, and sometimes both.

SHAYLA MILAN creates environments to propel story and branded content, all with the intention of providing harmony to both outer and inner spaces. Shayla is a Production/Set Designer and Art Director specializing in creating culturally authentic spaces and translating story into environments. In the past year she became the go-to Art Director for SEPHORA’s branded content, creating more than 60 videos for their online presence via IG reels and YouTube. Prior to that, she did the same for NIKE when they rebranded by shifting focus from the ‘athlete’ to the ‘culture’. Her work on the brand’s show COMETHRU was the inaugural partnership, evolving to work with various teams for their NIKE and NIKE RUN apps, featuring Meg Thee Stallion, Victoria Monet, Dalilah Muhammad, and Bretman Rock.

In 2021, Shayla worked as an Art Director on the EMMY AWARD winning show, LIZZO’s: WATCH OUT FOR THE BIG GRRRLS for Amazon Prime. Upon airing the team was nominated by their peers, for the ART DIRECTOR’S GUILD AWARD for Best Production Design for a Reality Show Award. In addition to prepping the house and leading the build for the rehearsal space, Shayla worked to curate the art for the house focusing on featuring BIPOC and Women artists.
